How to Measure Library Accessibility
In 2021, the Lithuanian Library Accessibility Manifesto “A Library for All” was signed. The manifesto sets out 10 objectives, which can be grouped into four main themes, defined by the consensus of the librarian community:
- Accessibility of the social environment – competence and staff preparedness;
- Accessibility of the environment and services;
- Accessibility of resources and collections;
- Inclusive Communication – purposeful and specific for each visitor audience.
The presentation will consist of two complementary parts:
- The five-year experience of drafting and implementing the Manifesto;
- A quiz for practical evaluation of the objectives established in the Manifesto in each library.
