Drawing on extensive experience in civic activism, transforming the local public library into a core hub for community support, growth and inclusivity initiatives in my hometown.

Driver for Social Cohesion: How Library Initiatives Empower Communities through Inclusive Projects

The presentation will feature the experience of 5 years transforming the public library in Chortkiv — a small town where physical and programmatic changes were implemented to develop the potential of local residents and strengthen social cohesion. We will share cases illustrating how: the creation of an art mural became a symbol of town unity; the reconstruction of a derelict building initiated a new inclusive space; and how, even during the most difficult times, the library remains a hub that values people and facilitates collective adaptation to modern challenges.
