The Senior Librarian at Ieva Simonaitytė Klaipėda County Public Library, Lithuania

Larysa Sydorenko was born in Ukraine. In 1996 graduated from Kyiv University of Culture with a degree in Librarianship. Until April 2022, she worked at the Mykolaiv Regional Universal Library as a librarian, chief librarian, and head of the International Partnership Department. Since May 2022, she has been working at the Ieva Simonaitytė Klaipėda County Public Library as a senior librarian. Her professional interests include project work, media literacy, and critical thinking. A professional and life motto is: eyes are afraid, hands are doing.

Professional Internships for Ukrainian Librarians in Lithuania

The presentation will highlight the experience of organizing and conducting the 1st and 2nd Lithuanian-Ukrainian Library Forums (2023, 2024) and Іnternships in 2025 for various categories of Ukrainian librarians at leading libraries in Lithuania. It will also cover the topics and formats of the events that were organized and the main results of the cooperation between Lithuanian and Ukrainian libraries after the Іnternships.
