Maryana Hrihash

Deputy Director of Zakarpatska Regional Scientific Library

Mariana Hrihash — deputy director of Zakarpattya regional library and head of the “Association of Zakarpattya librarians”. She has professional education and over 30 years of experience, over the years rising to a senior executive position. She conducts project activity and cooperates with community organizations. She runs the “Unity and Support space” and “TatoHub. Uzhhorod” implemented on library grounds after the full-scale invasion. She’s known for her open-mindedness and leadership and cooperation skills.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, in order to promote social cohesion, integration, adaptation, and improve the mental health of Ukrainians, the library’s project activities have focused on supporting internally displaced persons, wives and children of defenders, veterans, and their families. An important priority in these projects is also the organization of events for people with disabilities.
